MS DHONI – IPL T20 Career
About:
In the 2021 season, MS Dhoni contributed significantly to CSK’s fourth title victory. Heading into the 2022 edition, the franchise retained Dhoni as one of their core players, committing INR 12 crore to secure his continued leadership. Known for his explosive batting skills, Dhoni has the unique ability to dismantle opposing bowling attacks. His on-field composure, calm demeanor, and astute cricketing intellect create a formidable combination, evident in CSK’s trophy-laden history.
Dhoni served as the face of the Chennai Super Kings for the first eight league editions, guiding them to two championships (2010 & 2011) and finishing as runners-up four times. Subsequently, he became the first pick for Rising Pune Supergiant in the ninth edition but returned to CSK as their inaugural retention ahead of the IPL Player Auction 2018. The fairytale 2018 season concluded with yet another triumph for CSK.
Even after retiring from international cricket after a distinguished 16-year career with Team India, Dhoni continued to represent CSK in 2020, showcasing his enduring commitment to the team.
